Carefully renovated holiday house that is part of a little farmhouse with an enclosed garden



The comfortable holiday house is in a former barn that has been completely renovated and is part of a little farmhouse in the Artois from the year 1850.



The holiday house provides around 100m² of living space for six people. The ground floor has a 50m² living room with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table for six people, a highchair and a TV corner with a DVD player. DVDs are provided. There is also a bedroom with a 140 x 200cm double bed on the ground floor. The adjoining bathroom has a walk-in shower. The upper floor has two further bedrooms, one with a double bed measuring 140 x 200cm and the other with two single beds measuring 90 x 190cm. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower cubicle. The WC is separate. A cot for a baby or toddler up to two years old is available.



The enclosed garden is ideal for children to play in, while you relax on the stone garden furniture (a bench and a table). A barbecue, four wicker chairs and two deckchairs are provided. Three cars can be parked on the big parking space, which can only be accessed through a remote-controlled gate.



You can share use of a washing machine/dryer and a big freezer in a little annex with the owner, who also lives on site. Three bicycles are provided for use free of charge, under your own responsibility. There is free wireless Internet access (20Mbit/s). It is also possible for the owner to do some shopping for you before arrival, on request. All the rooms have radiators.



There is a little grocery shop (Carrefour Market) about five kilometres from the holiday house. The nearest bakery is about 2km away. For larger shopping trips, you can visit the supermarket in Arras 10km away. The holiday house is an ideal starting point for visiting the region. It is just 5km to the Bois de Maroeuil, a forested area, which is worth a visit. You can also visit the old abbey and many historical sites such as military cemeteries, the Canadian Memorial at Vimy, the French national cemetery Notre Dame de Lorette, the Louvre-Lens and Arras museums and the Wellington quarry. The seaside is about 80km away (Le Toquet, Quend Plage). There is a horse riding centre about 3km from the house. You can use a local tennis court about a kilometre away on request.
